Thundering and lightning, very very frightening!

(Aug 14, 2017)

Good afternoon! Hopefully going back to school hasn't been too bad for the girls. Our week's been somewhat slow, but we're planning something pretty exciting! The Stake's planning a mini MTC  for the primary kids, and us missionaries are planning for it! We've planned a iron rod activity, where the kids will follow the rod from room to room, and learn about how they can prepare for a mission! It should be pretty fun. That was about it for this week, we've just been working otherwise. Hope you had a good summer, and enjoy the quiet time!

9 Months (Already?)

Good morning! It's hard to believe I'm coming up on nine months, already! The card was great, thank you! Let Grandma and Grandpa know that a letter should be heading their way. Transfer calls came this weekend, and I'll be staying in Scottsburg for another transfer (fine by me, we have progressing investigators). We've been focusing on obedience a lot, lately, and a scripture in Mosiah has been sticking out to me;
"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it."

I Know our obedience brings blessings, more than anything else will. I'll be praying that Lindsay's baby comes safely. Stay safe, I love you!

Clifty Falls

Glad to hear Scipio was fun! We spent last P-day at Clifty Falls, with some other missionaries, I'll post the photos right after this. We made a big effort  to find a new investigator each day, last week, since the whole mission's been pushing for it, and we were blessed, throughout the week! I swear, we wouldn't be outside for more than half an hour each day, before we found someone who was interested, it was such a blessing! Unfortunately, that meal appointment cancelled, but the Branch had a potluck, yesterday after church, and that was great! (Also no, no Ale 8). That's about it, for last week, have fun trying to get the girls back to school, I love you!

Happy Pioneer Day!

July 24, 2017

Morning! I'm sad I'm missing the rodeo, but our week's been pretty fun too. We visited Materfest, Scottsburg's big tomato festival, and I got a pretty cool shirt! Alongside that, we spent a lot of time with less actives this week, and a few came to church! We're planning on going hiking with the zone leaders, and some other missionaries today, so that'll be fun! Sorry, mine's kinda short as well. Thanks for all the love & support!

P.S. I have seen fireflies, and I'll have to get some pictures. :)

The Fields Are Alive With Corn

(7-17-2017)

We've had a pretty good week, so far. We helped a woman mow her lawn, and she gave us a mint plant, so we're now trying to keep that alive. Our investigators have been doing pretty well, slow progress. It drives me up a wall, though, when we invite people to church, and the members go out of their way to give rides, an the investigators change their mind last minute. Really annoying. Funny you should ask about dinner appointments, we were just invited to one yesterday! Anyhow, you all don't get too burned!

One Heck Of A Week

Hello! First and foremost, yes I did e-mail about my debit card (got that one fixed) and as we were walking around town Sunday, A guy pulled over and wanted to call our parents, to tell you we're doing well. I thought it was a bit sketchy, but people had done it for Elder Williams before, so he insisted. Sorry about scaring you :/

Our week's been pretty crazy, we had to go to Madison, IN (60 mile round trip) twice this week, once on last P-day, to get the Crank on my bike fixed, and then we had to help the sisters move a couch, for a potential investigator. Needless to say, we've had to spend a lot of time on the bikes.  On top of that, Elder Williams's I pad is busted. We at least got to hike Clifty falls, last P-day, so it could've been worse. We spent the fourth with one of our investigators, so that was fun.

We had annother couple come to church this week, and they really enjoyed it, the wife would be great Relief Society material! Pretty crazy week. Anyhow, that was our week, hopefully this week's a bit simpler! You all have a good one!

Almost Independence Day

(July, 3, 2017)

Hey!
Things have been good, the humidity's taking some getting used to. My hair hasn't curled yet, but the humidity sets my Eczema  off. I haven't been able to wear my watch in a while, because of it. We meet the new president  this Friday, in a mini- zone conference. I'm pretty excited! For the 4th, we work until 6, then we can spend the night with members, or investigators. We haven't been invited to anything yet, so this should be fun. Clothes are good at the moment, the sewing has helped a lot. Thank you for the support, and have a happy 4th!
