Still Surviving Scottsburg

Things are going well, this week! Elder Williams is from American Fork, and he's a good guy.
He's also been out 21 months, so it should be interesting, this being his last area. Tell Em I said
congrats, that's pretty awesome!

It rains quite a lot, out here. We actually got some of the rain from the Hurricane in St. Louis, so
the rain was especially crazy this week! We were able to set three baptisms this week! We were
heading home from a less active, and I got the feeling to stop by a potential investigator we had
talked to months ago. The inital guy was leaving, but he suggested we talk to his son, in the
house. Through that, we got to teach his son, his son's wife, and their friend, who was living with
them! It made me think of a quote by Joseph Smith, " If you follow the spirit the first time, you'll
get it right, 9 times out of 10."

Well, I'll write again next week, stay cool!

Elder Mattinson

It's Always Wet in Indiana

(June 19, 2017)

Sounds like a pretty crazy week!  Ours has been pretty crazy as well! This transfer was cut to 5 weeks, because President Brough is heading home next week, and I'm getting a new Companion! His name's Elder Parker Williams, it should be fun! Our Investigators didn't make it to church, yesterday, a bit of a disappointment. These things take time. Well, thank you again for all the support!

Lucky Number 7!

(June 12, 2017)

Morning! Our week's been pretty good! I'm surprised there's been wildfires already, with all
that snow. We had one of our investigators come to church, with his two sons. His boys went to
primary, and they loved it! It was a great Sunday.

Well you all have a great week, stay cool!

Surviving

(June 5, 2017)

Congrats on the 101 Miles! Pretty impressive! We ride the bikes here pretty often, and it's pretty flat, so it's a nice commute. I can definitely start riding  with you all when I get home.

That's pretty awesome, that the girls brought non-member friends to activities! I'm proud of them too! We had an investigator come to church yesterday, that was exciting! Turns out, his Dad is an inactive member, and is OK with him going!

Well, that's about it for this week, you all stay cool!

(Post) Birthday Party!

(May 29, 2017)

Good evening! Thank you so much for the package! I made the cake, and have been wearing
the ties! The Orange ties, made quite a splash with most the other missionaries, I'm thankful for
both! The cake came put pretty well, but I think you still make them better. I recently reread
Alma the younger's conversion story in Mosiah 27, it's such a great example of repentance!
Anyhow, tell Shauna I said hi, and I'll be praying for you and Kens!

Our day at the car show!

Indiana Countryside

(May 22, 2017)

Hello!

Our week's been pretty good, other than the weather. We've had 80 degrees and raining all week, and yes, we were in that storm/ flooding. Thankfully, the tornado missed us, and the sister's areas near us. I just got Grandpa's box Saturday, and I'm excited for the rest, thank you! I do celebrate my birthday on P-day, so that's exciting! Don't let the girls slack off too much this summer! I love you!

P Day Trip to Louisville Zoo & Slugger Museum

(May 15, 2017)

Sorry about writing back so late! I loved seeing everyone again, it was great! Even though I said otherwise as a kid, I'm so thankful to be blessed with our family, and this Gospel. I'm also thankful for you and Dad, Sacrificing so much for us! I love you all!
